Rock 'N' Talk with the Danimal and Eebz!

Rock 'n' Talk with the Danimal and Eebz is a radio show which began streaming live early this fall through the KSFS radio program through SFSU's BECA program(the Department of Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts). Every Sunday from 4-5 they bring a smattering of talk around a particular musical theme. Most recently they went on a journey through time and space (and between dimensions) discussing the origins and evolution of Psychedelia.

You can stream their show, as well as some other interesting radio shows, via the KSFS website. And, if you missed any of the previous shows you can also check out the Rock 'N' Talk blog to stream them.

guns going off . dem ole time magnums .

Kamau Brathwaite was born in Bridgetown, Barbados in 1930. His poetry is primarily concerned with the Caribbean and the African disapora. "Stone," from his sixteenth collection of poetry, Middle Passages, is an eulogy to Mikey Stone.

Although the poem is written, it seems to reach back to its colloquial and reggae roots and demands to be read aloud. Listen to the beat.

Weezer can't stop sucking with new song feat. Lil Wayne

To set things straight, I should reveal myself as the Physics Engine, not the Weezer fanatic who normally runs this blog business. I felt it was my duty to weigh in on this and call Weezer out for totally sucking. It's fine if those nerds want to ride their own sinking ship, but to hop on the blunt-fueled clusterfuck that has become Lil Wayne's career, is truly sad and in poor taste.
That is all,

"Last week's mix was a reflection of the shitty weather we had to deal with. Therefore, a down-tempo, relaxing array of songs seemed appropriate. This week, we've been soaked in sunshine, sunshine that serves as a constant reminder of how close we are to being out of school and out in the streets. So, we've created a harder, faster, creepier mix this week. You all know what it means to creep. Hopefully, this week's collection will serve you in your quest to create mayhem and destroy something beautiful. This mix should be listened to at night, while it's hot out, while the streets are teeming with other mutants like you. Summer's almost here, and as the late, great Dr. Hunter S. Thompson said: 'When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.'"
